The University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, School of Dental Medicine welcomes applications from exceptional candidates for full-time, clinical track faculty in the Division of Endodontics in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences and Surgical Dentistry. The Department of Diagnostic Sciences and Surgical Dentistry is home to five divisions – the Divisions of Periodontics, Endodontics, Diagnostic Sciences, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and General Practice Residency Program. The successful candidate will be an outstanding clinician and/or educator with interest in, and commitment to clinical care, teaching, and scholarship.

Teaching
Primary teaching responsibilities of this position center on clinical and didactic teaching in the pre-doctoral and post-doctoral curricula with a focus on collaboratively building and/or maintaining programs within the SDM that meet service needs at the local, state, national, and international levels, in alignment with the mission and strategic plan of the SDM.
Core teaching responsibilities include:
Teaching dental students in endodontic and inter-disciplinary didactic, pre-clinical, and clinical courses, including supervision, guiding-through-demonstration, and the provision of endodontic care in the school’s pre-doctoral endodontic clinics
Teaching residents and post-doctoral students in didactic and clinical courses; including supervision, guiding-through-demonstration, and the provision of endodontic care in the school’s graduate clinics
Directing and co-directing courses in endodontics, treatment planning, case presentation, and operative dentistry
Designing, planning and implementing courses in endodontics
Service
Examples of service responsibilities in this position include:
Service to the assigned program and the school
Mentoring, coaching and advising of students, residents, and post-doctoral students
Serving on school and campus committees
Participation in the Dental Faculty Practice
Research/Scholarship
Research /scholarship responsibilities offer an opportunity collaborate on or initiate programmatic inquiry and scholarship in alignment with SDM mission and vision.
This is an open rank position and based on experience and qualifications as indicated below. Initial rank is based upon knowledge, achievement, and experience, and with the opportunity for academic promotion based upon demonstrated, ongoing excellence in education, research, clinical care, and community service. Applicants must have a clinical, scholarly, and/or academic record consistent with each SDM Faculty appointment level in the School of Dental Medicine.
